Combat promotes smart preservation of resources, often giving players a chance to run away or defeat stronger opponents by taking advantage of their environments. The Resident Evil 8 gameplay promotes deep exploration of environments, interactions with a few NPC characters, and tense combat encounters against supernatural enemies of many kinds.
The story of the game leads the main character Ethan Winters from the edges of the mysterious village that worships strange prophets and beasts, all the way to the forbidden mines, Castle, and lands beyond that hold incredible horror and crucial clues for discovering his kidnapped son. Offered in the same first-person perspective and wide array of gameplay systems for healing, crafting, and upgrading weapons and items, this incredible PC title today represents one of the best horror titles on the modern market. The only downside is that the playable Maiden demo isn’t available on PC.Building on top of the experience crafted in the previous 2017 title Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, this direct sequel continues the horrific adventure of Ethan Winters who is tasked to explore the remote Eastern European village region infested with numerous monsters. Plus, the online multiplayer game, Resident Evil Re:Verse, is included when you purchase this one. It offers a whole new intriguing plot in an altogether-different setting and showcases beloved gameplay mechanics, as well as gorgeous graphical overhauls from the RE Engine. Resident Evil Village may be continuing a previous story but that doesn’t make it any less stellar when compared to past RE games. The graphics have been thoroughly enhanced, though. Much of the gameplay is the same, but the inventory system here is notably similar to RE4’s. However, the reappearance of someone familiar to the couple sets off a chain of events that lead to a whole new nightmare.
The story is set a few years after the events of RE7, wherein Ethan and Mia are now living peacefully in a snowy remote location. In this title, you play in the first-person perspective again and control Ethan Winters, the protagonist of the previous game. This gameplay style had been a divergence from the action-shooter genre of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 and instead, had been a return to the original games’ survival horror focus on exploration. Resident Evil Village, also known as “ Resident Evil 8”, follows up on both of RE7’s storyline and gameplay.
